God’s unique calling for this church is important to Ekklesia. Below are the values that focus us on that calling and distinguishes us from other churches. We believe these values prompt us to act.
Missional & Purposeful
– We believe that God has commissioned His people to reach the lost. We desire to be purposeful in God’s calling for the church and His calling for our individual lives. (Mark 16:15; Act 17:16-34; Eph. 2:10; 1 Tim. 4:10)
Truth & Authenticity
– We believe that Bible is God’s spoken word to us and truth that can transform lives. We desire to speak God’s truth and be true and authentic in our personality and character (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 4:1-2l Eph. 4:1; Phil 1:18; 1 Tim. 1:5).
Relationships & Community
– We believe that relations with God and others are essential to our personal growth. We desire to build relationships, communities, small groups, and environments to grow and share in life (Acts 2:44-47; Rom. 12:9-18, 14:19; 1 Cor. 12; Gal. 6:1-2).
Developing Disciples & Leaders
– We believe God desires our full devotion to Him and that we use His gifts to lead others to Him. We desire to make disciples of Christ and build leaders who use their gifts, demonstrate godliness and become future church planters. (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:42, 9:27; 2 Tim. 2:2; Titus 1:5)
Demonstrating Love
– We believe that true disciples will obey the Great Commandment to love God and love others. We desire to love God and people by our actions demonstrated through relationships, ministry, evangelism, our words and our lives (Mark 12:30; 1 John 4:19, John 13:35; Eph. 4:1-6; 1 Cor. 13).
Worship
– We believe that God has called us to live for Him and express our joy for what He has done for us in every aspect of our lives. This act of worshiping Him is not limited to singing songs, but should be an overflowing outpouring of what God is doing through us as we foster an intimate relationship with God that He has created us to be ultimately fulfilled in. (Psalm 33:3, 40:3, 96:1; Rom. 12:1, Col 3:16-17)
Gospel Centrality
-We believe that God has given us the Good News, the Gospel, that is able to transform many areas of our life. We desire and see the Gospel as central and essential to preaching from the pulpit to demonstrating it in our own lives. (Acts 2:44-47; Rom. 12:9-18, 14:19; 1 Cor. 12; Gal. 6:1-2)
